Blountstown Florida
Ackuritlabs & Aqua Systems – Blountstown, Florida
Town History
At Ackuritlabs & Aqua Systems, we’re proud to serve the historic town of Blountstown, Florida — a community with roots that reach deep into the state’s early frontier history. Originally named after Creek Indian Chief John Blount, who guided Andrew Jackson during the First Seminole War, our town has long stood as a crossroads of culture and resilience. Since its incorporation in 1903, Blountstown has grown as the county seat of Calhoun County, shaped by its ties to agriculture and the timber industry. We’ve seen this area pull together through hard times, most notably after Hurricane Michael in 2018, which damaged a large portion of homes and businesses. That spirit of rebuilding and self-reliance is what drives us, too — offering water testing solutions that protect the health and well-being of families and farms alike. When we serve our neighbors in Blountstown, we’re honoring over a century of progress rooted in hard work and trust.
Area Sports
Blountstown may be small, but our love for sports and the outdoors runs deep. As part of a close-knit community, local athletics play a big role — especially in our school systems. Calhoun County’s student-athletes carry strong local pride, whether they’re on the football field or track. For many of our customers, weekend recreation means taking advantage of our nature-rich environment, not just stadium seats. That’s why we see people enjoying trails, fishing spots, and family-friendly park games across town. With the Apalachicola River nearby, there’s plenty of opportunity for water-based recreation — another reason water quality is so important to our community. At Ackuritlabs & Aqua Systems, we know that clean water fuels healthy play and healthy living, and we’re proud to support the families who make up the backbone of Blountstown's sports and outdoor traditions.
Local Attractions
One of the best things about working in Blountstown is being surrounded by its charm. We love the historical richness found at the Panhandle Pioneer Settlement — a living-history museum that brings Florida’s rural past to life with original buildings from the 1800s and early 1900s. It’s a favorite stop for locals and visitors alike. Our downtown area offers that classic “Old Florida” feel, with landmarks like the Old Calhoun County Courthouse still standing tall as a tribute to the past. Whether it’s a visit to the Settlement, an afternoon stroll through historic streets, or a weekend community event, Blountstown has a way of blending heritage with heart. We feel a strong connection to this area and strive to deliver water testing services that meet the high standards of a town that values both its legacy and its future.
City Parks
As a company focused on clean water and environmental responsibility, we especially appreciate the beauty and importance of Blountstown’s green spaces. Sam Atkins Park and the Blountstown Greenway Trail offer over 340 acres of preserved nature, walking paths, swamp boardwalks, and bird-watching stations. It’s not just a haven for wildlife — it’s a favorite for families, runners, and nature lovers throughout the community. These parks are more than recreational spots; they’re reminders of how deeply we rely on our local environment. That’s why we take our role seriously — making sure the water flowing into homes, schools, and public areas is safe and up to standard. The natural beauty of our area inspires us every day to offer the highest quality service to our neighbors in Blountstown.
